Caller hung up when answered, hence, AUTO CALL, seeing if someone would pickup, then your number is short listed for a follow up call, this time by a real person, you answer's it, you will be in DANGER of being scammed by a real professional scammer, with fake convincing story of why you should do as they ask. Hence a loss of money from your bank account is most likely - WARNING - If anyone wants to talk to you, they will leave a message - make sure your answer machine is working and you will never miss a genuine call, any calls you don't no, never answer them or call them back, if you are unsure, ask family members to help - SCAMMERS they are looking for vulnerable people/victims - If you don't no who is calling you, you do not recognise the number, DONT ANSWER IT – If its a genuine caller, they will leave a message on your answer machine with their details, if you don't recognise their details, phone a friend or family member to seek help/advice.
My phone flagged this as "Suspected Spam" I immediately dropped the call, but they INSTANTLY, recalled several times (while I was dropping the calls), until I manged to block them. They then called once more and the call got blocked. The immediate recalling (after dropping the call) seems to imply that a machine of sorts is being used to do this. Only with the help of a telephone exchange is this possible! After further research, I find it is a US number that uses UK call centres or telephone exchanges to make these calls.
Trying to get bank details by pretending they are reducing the amount taken in direct debit for your TV warranty/repairs. They want you to confirm your bank details. Avoid total scam. Switched during call to pretend you are talking to various departments, eg bank verification department. These people are absolute scam artists.
Caller said hello I said hello then he said goodbye and ended the call ! It sounded like a call centre
