Claimed to be from O2. Tried to get me to send them a OTP (One Time Password) so they could login to my account. 100% a scammer.
Don't stop ringing came up as spam so didn't answer, tried 4 more times
I had a call from this number. It took time to get my phone from my bag but it kept on ringing. When I answered it there was no one there. I have blocked it and since deleted it after noting all the comments above. Have warned my husband and daughter not to answer either. These people. Its almost as bad as the landline who tell me my washing machine is out of guarantee and that they are my insurers. I tell them they're not and tell them where to put the washing - politely of course!! Thank you to all those who left a message its been most helpful.
01808 400018 called me this afternoon. Showed up on my phone as Potential Fraud/Scam. I didn't answer the call, they didn't leave a message and I checked the number online. I reviewed the above comments on here, then blocked this number and deleted it from my phone... I've been caught out twice before by scammers. I am very wary now!!!
This number rang me earlier today and my phone tagged it as Fraud. Have blocked the number.
Had a call this afternoon from probably the same Asian man as other comments on here, saying he was from O2 and my contract was being discounted from next month. He sent a text saying he was sending a code and I couldn't share it with anyone else. Then the second text came through with a code which he was wanting me to repeat back to him. Apparently this was O2 policy to check they were talking to the account holder. Once I gave him the code I received he was going to confirm my name, O2 account number, bank details and other things, to prove this is a genuine call from O2. I said I was not happy and would not repeat the code to him AS HIS TEXT MESSAGE SAID not to repeat the code to anyone. He consistently repeat the same things over and over and replied I would not tell him the code he sent me. After about 15 minutes I just hung up and less than a minute later a call came through from a slightly different number... the last two digits were 15 not 18 and I just cut the call. After seeing the other comments on here, both numbers are now blocked!
Said they were calling from "mumble mumble mumble" and had a great promotion for me. Didn't like jokes or being caught out
Say they are from virgin media but don't know any details. Want me to tell them everything. Scam caller.

Is he South Asian, Central Asian, South East Asian, East Asian or North Asian. Or Russian Asian (most of Russia is in Asia too)?

Same Asian man rings me every few months. Saying he’s renewing my contract with British Gas. When am not at the end of my contract. Won’t take no as an answer. I just say sent me the paper work though the post. And he says I just need to confirm a few things. I keep blocking the number.
Said they were from o2 offering me 30% off my bill. I hung up.
Says that they are Virgin media and asked how much I am paying on my bill. I caught them off guard and said if they are from Virgin Media then they should know how much I am paying per month on my bill. I think scam
