Left a silent voicemail. I do have an open HPE ticket, so it would be consistent with other comments.
they called me 3 months ago - now they do it again. Cold Call asking for "the IT Department" - wanting to know what my plans were for the coming year regarding buying desktops, laptops servers etc. I said I had no plans.
Phone rings then when I answer it is goes dead. Thanks to previous comments, I now know it is Hewlett Packard. I do use their products, eg laptop and printer, but I've no idea why they should be ringing me, except for an unsolicited sales call? So why do they hang up?
Reference the above: One good thing about working for the organisation is that it is possible to get information..... The above number belongs to a VoIP "Switch" hosted in Swindon which links HP's internal phone systems to the outside world.....the call from anyone dialling out PSTN from HP will pass through one of these switches (Others are located in Tewkesbury - 01452 - and London - 0208 amongst other places) Basically therefore, anyone calling from HP (or anyone dialling in to HP who's call is transferred back out to the UK PSTN system) will appear to emanate from this number.....
Phoned today, but then hung up - i have cannon , so not sure why hewlett would call if it was them.
Confirmed this is Hewlett Packard Technical Support. This is the number that comes up when they call you about an open support ticket.
Is the support of Hewlett Packard. However, the number can not be recalled, as it is a VoIP number.
