I have received numerous calls from this tele no on my mobile which i keep missing. It leaves a message to ring 121 which i did. it then says press any key on your key pad which i did only for it to repeat 'KEY PAD' What makes this even stranger is when i spoke to someone this morning using my land line they read me back my land line number in case they need to contact me later and read it back to me from their screen as 01782 580403 which NOT my land line number. How does that happen!!!!!

I believe It’s the hospital wanting you to confirm an appt with them, but unfortunately the call doesn’t last long enough for me to pick up and it goes to my answer machine. On calling my voicemail, I am asked to press any number to hear the message. When I press any number there is no message so rather frustrating.

This number keeps ringing me and left voicemail and no message all it asked me is to press any key so I did and it asked me again

It is definitely NHS reminder service. It requires a keypress to know you are receiving the call. It should take you through a few keypresses to confirm you are attending. Quite a good system I think

Safe, it's the Royal Stoke hospital appointment reminder service. It requires you to press any key so that it knows you are listening rather than leaving voicemail. In my case, confirmation of outpatients appointment.

Left an automated message. When I called back message said "You were called today & the caller withheld their number". I don't live in Staffordshire so there would be no reason for the North Staffs Hospital to ring me.

Rang it back and got dead tone. Up above in these comments is "automated service from the North Staffs hospital to confirm your up coming appointment" I Do have an appointment next week, so maybe it was them.
