Female claimed to be calling from BT about my internet. Told her to f... off and that she was a scam call and not to phone me again. Noises from a call centre in abck ground. She then told me to f... off!
Yes, this lady called us twice today . My husband put the phone down immediately and then she rang back about 2 hours later but was telling me that hackers were using our router and how many lights were on, etc. I said thanks for the call and I would do my own checking. What do they hope to get from these calls? Anyway, that number is now blocked on our phone.
Got same call yesterday and today. Indian lady claiming to be from BT about a fault detected on our broadband. Asked questions about the lights on our router but when she started asking about devices, I asked some questions back and she hung up. I was polite yesterday. I was much less polite today!
I imagine this to be a scam. Told me they were getting messages to say my internet had been hacked. Wanted me to go to the computer, I then stopped the call. They rang back about 10 times. The man became very persistent and aggressive
From BT ??? our internet is causing a problem
Stated they were from BT Openreach and said that there has been multiple users using IP address on our router. When challenged about exactly where they were calling from, and requesting a telephone number to call them back, became aggressive and hung up. Has been reported to BT Openreach.
Indian lady about my BT internet. Don’t use BT so total scam. Very aggressive if challenged. Beware.
Claiming to be from BT. Had an Indian accent, with background sounds of a call centre.
