I did not answer this call, looked for the number in Internet to see any scam records, found this listed here and blocked the number. Thanks to who-calls.me.uk as this is my default reaction to any number I don't recognise and has helped me not to get trapped by phone or phishing scams. I also regularly report these kind of calls or phishing emails or texts to action fraud uk.

Male with heavy Indian accent called me saying he was from O2 and that he wanted to offer me a promotional deal. I'm not with O2 anyway and based on the above comments he clearly doesn't work for any of the companies he's claiming!
