Loft insulation scam. VoIP fake number, claims to represent energy companies working in the area of their intended victim, covering loft insulation supplied under a Government grant. The claim is that of dampness and mold growth on loft insulation being reported, where the intended victim requires their loft insulation to be checked and, if required, replaced. Use a different first name each time, such a Luke, Paul, Steven, etc., but is clearly the same scammer each and every time. It is an old scam being recirculated.

01625926662 called on Thursday 19 December 2024 at 1200pm. I no longer answer calls from unknown numbers, but after only a few rings the caller gave up. Now here I am, wasting time looking this number up!

Called at 08.30 this morning. Number is unknown so I didn't answerr. No message was left indicating this is likely to be a scam call. The number of such calls has increased sharply over the past week and they come from a range of numbers
