If we contact a customer in connection with their case, we will always take appropriate security precautions to verify our own and the customer’s identity at the outset. We are currently collating as much information as possible in relation to these calls and are passing information to our police liaison officer who is investigating this matter further.

We believe these calls are targeting individuals to fraudulently obtain information relating to road traffic accidents and possible injuries sustained by the driver and/or passengers. just called me, said I had an outstanding claim, I refused to confirm any details, bloke said he had all my details already. I said in that case you can write me a letter. sigh then phone went down...

Had a missed call from this number then another call about a fictitious road accident.

Women knew my name and about events she shouldn't very disappointed in how these details were obtained.

These calls are very annoying

Picked up phone by saying my name, couple of seconds of silence they then hung up as normal another call wasting my te and energy

I've received several calls from this number for the past 3 months and wehn I pick up, no one talks so I hang up, must be some idiot especially they never speak!! pissed off with getting the calls now.

just had a call from this number the woman said that I had a collision some time in the past 2& a half years - false - she was calling from some insurance/assurance company it was mumbled when I questioned her she told me under data protection she couldn't tell me who I had a collision with, then hung up???

Woman with Welsh accent called Nov 2014. Knew my name. Mumbled something like 'Albany Assurance' and said there had been a no fault accident claim (true) - asked her a few times why she was phoning as she wasn't my insurer. She gave a sigh and hung up. Guessing this is some sort of injury claim service - ie. dodgy imo.. Insurers sell your accident details on to companies like this, so don't be fooled just cos they know your name. Hang up straight away, never give out personal details or bank info.
