Sam from SOS Button Centre, Dorset, offering an alarm pendant. Hung up when asked how he got my number.
After a pause a well- spoken man said ‘can you hear me’ I said yes. He said no more so I hung up. Very possibly a scam call. Thanks to earlier post I now realise I should not have said yes. BEWARE
Bad line said he was local health support worker and then line went quiet, asked him to speak up no answer so I hung up
Did. Not answer. No message left. Not in my area so guess scam call
Called me on my landline. A well spoken English man asked if I could hear him, when I said yes he didn’t say anything. I said ‘I can hear you can you speak please’ still no response so I hung up.
Sam telling me I qualified for a health pendant. Obvious scam.
Said his name was Sam calling from the SOS button centre based in Dorset. Said I was eligible for a support package costing the equivalent of £1.31 a day. Tried to sign me up there and then. Said I would like some time to investigate his company and he hung up.
I have experiencing a growing tendency to receive calls with the caller first pausing, then asking "can you hear me", the natural inclination being to respond with "yes"; do not do this. Telephone banking, etc, utilising voice recognition has encouraged this potentially dangerous practice.
A man picked up the phone after a few seconds and asked if I could hear him. Once I said yes he didn't say anymore so I hung up. Concerned that it's someone getting you to say certain words to record them!
Clearly a computer generated call trying to sell some sort of personal alarm system. Very poor quality call
call to landline. Nobody at the other end. Don't know anybody in this dialling code area so assumed spam
Said he was a health provider and could prove a free home personal alarm system. Very poor quality line so told him to try again and hung up
Call to landline, no message left just a long beep. Possibly spam
