Supposedly British gas . Asking about boiler service and telling me I need to pay 60.00 up front as excess on any repairs needed. Very clever, says he can't take the money but can direct me to place I can. These people need to be stopped as I imagine lots would fall for this scam, especially the elderly

Just keep calling I dont get to my phone in time, try to call back unknown number . Definate scam
Called back & told and told ‘incorrect number’. Could well be British Gas as others have said as I’ve recently had a new boiler quote.

Missed 4 calls from this number over the last 2 days, try to call back says “incorrect number” Sounds like a scam to me
Purported to be from British gas re smart meters. I have just had smart meters fitted?! It sounded like a voice activated pre-recorded script. Do not think it was actually British Gas. I hung up.
