They always call in the morning between 8 and 19. The call uses an automated voice: "This is Nicola, your energy advisor. (long pause) We know your energy contract is changing. (long pause) Would you like us to give you a quote?" The system hears any response and continues until you say "yes". At this point, the voice says, "Hold while I transfer you to an advisor." At that point, you get a human on the line and can tell them to F off or, better still, keep them on the line, wasting their time. If you have time to spare, you can string them along; I usually end it all by saying, "By the way.I am Nicola your energy advisor, Can I give you a quote?" They get quite cross!
