Hsbc scam
all as above said they were from hsbc. i had a transaction on my card that did not look right so were ringing to ask me. started asking lots of questions. re balances etc. however did not feel right so i hung up contacted hsbc fraud line. they had not contacted me. no money had been taken. i cancelled my card.
Fucking motherfuckers
Got a call from this number re: HSBC money out of my account. I asked for a name and call them back and they hung up. Clearly dodgy.
This is a scam number in that they claim to be calling from the HSBC Bank razing concerns that someone has tried to access your account for funds or to take out a standing order: you will be advised that another debit card will be sent: and that your sort code will need to change. You will be asked about your current card details - and at some point if you do not provide the requested information you will be told to ‘fuck off’.
