I have not kept a detailed record of dates and times but have had several calls from this number. The caller always hangs up as soon as I answer. I received a call from this number at 13:10 today, Tuesday 16 June. I have now blocked this number.
Looks like BT or EE retentions after switching broadband. But I didnt trust them

Caller said he was BT
number not known to me,did not answer the call,i have had severl calls from this number as to why?
The caller, male voice, claimed to be BT, and mentioned my name. I said I didn't believe him, and he insisted he was BT. As it happens, someone from that number had tried to call me yesterday but I didn't answer. Instead, I looked up the number. Oddly, the number was linked to a firm in Leicester, though the dialling code was Stevenage. Spoofing? Be cautious!
The caller, with an Asian accent, claimed to be from BT calling about me leaving BT and what they could do to keep me. I had already switched, and someone from BT would have known that, so told them that they were scammers - they hung up.
Stated they were calling from BT and asked if I had time to talk. They then hung up!
