They said it was a digital update. i ended the call when they asked for my bank details.

Utter scum out to fleece hard working people. Started the conversation with a lie which is always a bit stupid. Why don’t the government stop these. Simple it makes money.

Caller claimed to be calling as an agent of BT Openreach regarding the required digital update for the line. Did admit to be calling from Gamma, but as I explained that we had no telephone line at the premises being called about, she was somewhat flummoxed. Seemed like a potential sales call to a number registered with Telephone Preference Service so will be reported to Information Commissioners Office as well as warning here.

Said they were from BT openreach but as the call progressed they were clearly a sales call.
