A person called Grace rang to speak to the ‘owner’ of the landline number she rang, supposedly about home appliance warranty for £5.99 per month, reduced from between £6 and £8, to protect my ‘tele’ (since when is a tv classed as a home appliance?) which would cost about £300 for a repair call out!,, I then asked/stated that that statement sounded like a threat and, upon her AGREEING IT WAS A THREAT, I hung up the phone. Like … seriously?

Male (Ryan) said he was calling about my BT phone to see if I had been having problems. Wouldn't tell me who his company was and hung up after I asked. Registered with TPS but that doesn't stop these scammers.

Male asked how I was and I relied 'why do you want to know' He then asked if I paid the bills and I replied 'why do you want to know '. He then hung up. Deep cultured sounding voice but have no idea who called.

Asked confirmation of my name and phone provider. Then asked if I had tv also, when I confirmed he said “you won’t be getting any more deals from Virgin” and rang off. Idiot!
