Caller said there was £3000 waiting following my recent road accident. They called my mobile and knew my name. I answered as it's a local area code, but in fact it's a virtual number so the caller is probably not local anyway. When I hesitated about the "accident", the caller hung up.

Tried to tell me I had had an accident 3 years ago and the other car had now admitted fault and there was a sum of money sitting from me. Insisted it was NOT an unsolicited call because my mobile number was on "the" insurance database. Very persistent and would not give in when I told them not interested. I had to hang up as he (Jake) would not accept I was not interested.
