National Grid, fraudsters impersonating this company, be careful who wants to cheat you, it is best to record it and report it to the police
Gentleman rang said he was from national grid and we had to have our meters changed. They said they wanted to come on a certain day and gave a time, then started asking for Name, Address, email address, Alarm bells started ringing, so I past the call to my manager, whislt she was on phone to them I googled number, and I tried ringing the number said no number availalbel and this website came up. The Manager past the call back to me as she was concerned they were asking for company detials. I said they have rang me so they should have our detials, and they would have to confirm the detials to me, all the detials they gave, could be found online as we are a business. They gave me the old email address, he then asked for photos of our meters and copies of bills, so I then thought this is a scam, meanwhile a collegue rang national grid and they advised that we were not needing new meters and this was a scam. Once I told the gentleman that we had been in touch with national grid, he hung up. He was very pushy and wouldn't take no for an answer.
Saying they are from the national grid - need electricity meters changing - started asking for lots of information - we called National Grid - this is a scam
