Asking about doubling your salary

Just received call from this number. Caller knew my name, said his name was Antonio. Asked what the call was in respect of - caller got very rude, asked where he was calling from he said my office. It was at this point I said there was no need to be rude, I was actually working so didn't have time for 'chit chat' went on to speak over me, wouldn't say where they were calling from. Heard him saying something about cutting him off just as I cut him off. Blocked the number and will contiue to do so if they call from other numbers. Utter time wasting, ignorant fool. All I can say is people must really have to lower themselves (unless they have that type of personality) to do this type of work....

is that even legal?

Her name was Melissa she called and when I asked she said it was a marketing campaign and sharing info about it but wouldn’t disclose much info when my friend didn’t want to talk to her though she knew about a course he is doing. She was VERY unprofessional and kept calling back even when I blocked the number she originally called after two times ..on another number (only one digit different) but waited half hour or so to call again knowing I had blocked the first number. Very disturbing phone call even though she was very “chirpy” she was coming out with some heartless comments and was not answering questions when asked who she was took a while and then when I again said he isn’t interested she said big mistake hanging up on her and said I’m not asking him to be my boyfriend …for example just a few things she bought up and then she hung up the phone when I said she was unprofessional and wouldn’t want to hear from her and if she has a soul and a good heart she would understand then she hung up.
