0118 229 5307 Negative Who called me from this phone number?

Has phone several times. Each time introduced himself as "David from Windows and Doors". Has been told twice to 'eff off'. on 6/01/26 at just after 9 a.m. he phoned again. I asked if he had heard of "The Telephone Preference Scheme.". His reply was "Never mind about that, how are you today?" I repeated the question and his reply was that they are "doing a promotion." ANY Cold Caller who ignores 'The Telephone Preference Scheme' is very clearly (1) A Fraudulent Scammer, and (2) Stupid - If people have elected to NOT have cold calls, why annoy them by phoning? If you are NOT registered on the 'Telephone Preference Scheme', look it up and register you phone number(s). After that, any Cold Call you receive is a Fraudulent Scam! I responded to this scammer with some verbal abuse and he promptly disconnected the call. The answer to 'Cold Calling' is simple - NEVER, EVER respond to ANY offers. If EVERYBODY, yes EVERYBODY ignored Cold Calling, it would become no longer viable and would cease! Unfortunately there will always be a few dumb and gullible idiots who encourage Cold Calling, just in case they might get a bargain!!!!.

Many missed calls on hub phone. Twice we answered one said they were loft insulation and ours needed checking because we were on the list. When asked to tell me what the address was he said his manager would do that when he called back . I said do not call again. Same number different day they were to with building checks stopped her and said what's your company name where did you get this number. She started to waffle on about not having to give it. At which point I asked what was the weather like over there in India to which she said it's very nice suns out. So your not in Reading then . She dropped the call.

Automated calling system that hangs up with machine “goodbye” or has dead tone when answered. 3 calls this week including Sat and Sun.

David from Windows and Doors Ltd - we have no knowledge of such a company and certainly were not expecting a call from them

Call center caller said they were from "Building Regulatory Services" and asked if I was willing to talk. I said no. I live in a council flat so any regulatory problems are the responsibilty of the building owner/manager. Obviously a scam as they would have no reason to call me.
