Spammed to death by these lot ever since I reported a broadband fault to BT on 150. Weird timing and makes you wonder exactly why it would all start from that point onwards. Coincidence, perhaps, but a very strange one!!
Scam pretending to be EE to hack your account
Saying from EE. Clearly not . Challenged with a question and she hung up. Rang the number back asked where they were based. She said London. 0114 352 3767 Sheffield number.
Call stated they were from EE and wanted to send a new sim card as mine was not compatible with the new 5G and would stop working if I didn’t follow there instructions,she then told me she was transferring me and to stay on line,I hung up at that point
Call from this number telling me due to poor connectivity they were going to give me a new SIM card . They wanted my email address to send me a coded password. The female caller then wanted that code. At this point I declined and advised I would go to the EE shop for further information. I hung up. I have since checked the number and seen a similar report.
Scam!!! Trying to offer a better sim for better connectivity. Looking for your email so they can use it for a password reset on an EE login using that email. You will get a legitimate email from EE with a code and they will ask you for it so they can access your account to get your sim. They will change your password, take over your account and take you information, if not more. Stay safe!!
