Female with strong foreign accent called to say she was from Leeds Building Society. Knew my full name and said she was doing a 10 minute survey about ‘my ISA’. I hung up as it seemed suspicious.
Caller gave her name as Rosie and asked if she were speaking to X (giving my full name) and saying that she was doing research for Leeds Building Society to improve their ISA products (so she knew these details also, together with my full name and mobile number). She asked if I was willing to answer a few questions. I declined and rang the Leeds to inform them. Rosie the researcher!!! Yeah, right. Leeds said that this was not a genuine call. No surprise. You will see above that DIDWW Ireland Limited provides phone numbers that APPEAR genuine, hence the Leeds 0113 code. The Leeds said that this was not one of their numbers anyway. Since I don't do social media and am very careful about who I give my number to, I have to ask; does the Leeds have a bent employee, or have they been hacked?
Said I had recent dealings with the Leeds building society and stated my name. Went through numerous questions about how I rated the Leeds. Finally asked if I did on line banking (I said no) asked if I was a home owner I said yes. Then they just hung up. I think they were after banking details? Lady called Scottish accent.
They want to close my account, that I have never had
