Called by this number, reporting he was from microsoft cyber security and that my computer licence ID had been compromised and was being used for things like money laundering, fraud and other things. I asked if this was the case why have the police not notified me. His response was thst the police did not have that ability in their cyber fraud facilities to deal with this only he could. I informed that my home personal computer had not been switched on for months and woth that he hung up.
Wanted to take about my recent online order. I haven’t made one. Scam call.
A recorded message. Message said that there had been 2 unauthorised transactions on my visa account this morning. Caller did not say who he was or what organisation he worked for. Caller did not use my name or give a visa account number. I did NOT give my name to caller so he did not know who I am, and did not know if I have a visa account. I do NOT have a visa account so I assume this call was part of an attempted SCAM.
Said they were Microsoft security making the call from Thames Valley business park. READING. Saying they had received messages from my computer that it was severely compromised, when I told them they were scammer they stated they would cancel the licence for this computer. I told them to go ahead.
