Did exactly that when I excepted the call but did not speak - just to see if genuine call or not.
They Said Nothing Phoned About 3pm
They knew I'm with EE, but had no idea I was a PAYG customer, trying to save me money on my monthly bills. Tried to get my email account for "verification", then when I let him know there's no way EE has my email address, he tried to convince me he did, but seemed to give up halfway through and hung up on me. Strong Indian accent
Missed call, no voicemail. Seeing all comment left re this number have now blocked number
Keeps calling. I block the number and the next day they call again using a different number

Im pretty sure this was a scam. It was a call about EE from a personal Vodaphone number offering me 40% off a new EE handset. I said no thank you and hung up
Tried to reduce my bill on sky and said that I had won a 16pro phone
Called, then hung up when I answered - I have blocked this number
Sounded like an Indian call centre saying they were from EE - I’m not with EE. She hung up when I said that. Strange that the number is identified as Vodafone because I AM with Vodafone but she identified herself as EE 🤷♀️. Scam call anyway I suspect. I have blocked the number
Female voice from O2 saying my number was going to be blocked due to needing to upgrade to 5G. I hung up.
no message, missed call, other comments state it is fraud.
Immediately ended the call when I accepted the call. Reported for scam/fraud and then blocked the number.
A vodaphone number according to their details, claiming to have queries about EE accounts. Are they part of the same company.
a Lady Called to ask if I wanted 40% off my EE contract, I said "no" and she hung up. Sounded like she may be from the Indian subcontinent Seemed very scammy. And not even very good at it.
Call at 0925 hrs. Unnamed male voice stated he was calling from EE, about my bill. I asked if he wanted "bank account details" - He hung up immediately. Clear & OBVIOUS SCAM call. Avoid!!!
