Called re renewal of policy on kitchen appliances at reduced rate. My wife dealt with caller on first occasion and got to the point where he wanted her to give bank account and sort code, after she displayed confusion he asked her to confirm info he had. She agreed to get info and he agreed to call back. Colleague called and I asked when the policy was taken out last year and amount paid, no trace of transaction on my bank account. Told her and she then hung up. It’s the usual there was no initial policy. Will keep a close check on my DDs.
