Called about my computer. I told him I don't have one as obviously a scam. Hung up on me. And I'm supposed to be on a telephone preference service.
Just had one of these calls but ignored it.. Read the above comments and it sounds like the talktalk scammers - especially if they are using your names - this means they do have some personal information of yours. Would be good to know if all people who commented above are with talktalk or are aware that they were some of the people effected by the talktalk hack. If you are then I would advise you report these calls to talktalk but most importantly do big entertain them and DO NOT download anything / click on anything they ask you to on any of your devices, in particular computers.
Received call from this number from Asian sounding man wanting to know who was the main user of the computer in the house. Scammer - I hung up.
Silent call from 01787 315859 at 09:20 hrs 05/01/2016 - this is a local dialling code BUT having looked on who called me I see it is a computer scammers number SO I am logging this call as a nuisance
An Asian-sounding man. A scam trying to get me to log onto my computer. Had my name and address, as well as telephone number, despite me being registered with TPS. Told me all my computers would be disconnected if I did not comply. DANGEROUS - do not give any information. Also uses 01827896257.
Someone called me about my computer. Obviously a scam why are these numbers not reported and prosecuted
Abusive person from a computer company, whistle blown down handset to deter further calls.
Scam call do not fall for this, usual fix your computer scam forefinger lady with poor English hung up so they called back. Number now blocked. Scam scam scam do not fall for it.
Got a call from a foreign gentleman regarding my computer, he said he was from the IT department, I said I didn't have a computer, he then said it could be my lap top, when I said I didn't have this either he put the phone down,..
Moron tried to call me and tell me I have n issue with a work PC and proceeded to ask personal questions. Told then in not so polite a manner to do one and they hung up. Not ideal when I have this number for purposes in the IT industry. Whom ever is selling my data needs to die of an awful ailment.
Another caller that bothers people, when will the TPS team fix these idiots..
The same happened to me I hung up and auto rejected the number .... not happy with these calls
Received called from this number today and didn't answer thankfully. I've had a few of these in recent months, from different numbers, am wondering if it's anything connected with the talktalk hack as I was one of their customers. Anyone else or is it just random?
CLearly they're all out today... Call telling me my computer was at risk. Supposedly a company called Tech Hub. Scam
2nd call again today ! how are they allowed to get away with this ! ......Grrrr

called by 01787315859 at 1159 (23rd Dec) and she started telling me all my information on the computer was at risk. I told her that she should be ashamed to be scamming people like this and she hung up.
Just called me @ 12.05pm Foreign guy called Sylvester! calling about my computer. I told him his fortune and hung up
called today, only answered it because of the local number however it was a scam
My experience was similar to the above posters message. I realised it was a scam immediately, and he (African / Nigerian) sounding male wanted me to verify my identity. The exchange went as follows. Him : Are you Mr 'Anon' Me: That depends. Who are you and what do you want? Him: It doesn't depend on anything. We will simply go ahead and disconnect your computer. Then he hung up. I hope these people are caught and they are issued with an enormous fine. I'm going to register this number on every complaint service available.
Very condescending person called regarding my computer. Several attempts at asking her to clarify company name but never got a straight reply. Hung up and blocked number!
Somebody calling regarding my "Windows Computer". After explaining that I do not own one (I genuinely don't, I have a work laptop) I was given "you don't know whether you own a computer" with a condescending laugh. After angrily correcting the man I asked to be taken off their call list and hung up. I usually don't pick up these calls but as it was a relatively local number I stupidly thought otherwise!
Left a message saying my card had been added to an Apply pay account and to contact them
Constant calling, especially early evening. I have ignored the calls and started declining them, but they still call...
This call was from scammers claiming to be from EE saying I may qualify for a 30% discount off my bill for the next...
Got a text- it's from Scrumbles cat food. Link leads to their website. All good.
Indian guy with thick accent pretending to be from o2 and virgin media. Hung up abruptly when questioned.
