01782 408799 Negative Who called me from this phone number?

I will be CAB North Staffs. I only asked the caller to state what organisation he was calling from and he said he couldn't. Sounded very odd so I asked again . . he said he couldn't. Fearing any number of leaches that freely call you (debt collectors, parking tickets, energy companies, insurance co's etc) I bid him a polite Good Bye. Only after researching here did I realise I'd called CAB NS in desperate need 1.5 weeks ago. What a shame that it takes 1.5 weeks for them to respond and even then they contrive a situation that means "no help here"!!!

Yes, its definitely victim support from Staffordshire Police as I had some bother recently. Didnt leave message though but I did get a text afterwards as well with the link

Missed the call tried to call back, and said that the line doesn't take calls. But also received an sms just after from victim gateway. As recently had problems. But for my phone to flag it as potential fraud or scam, is strange. And not called me back either.

Just had a call from this number, they asked if they were speaking to me (they stated my full name), I asked who was calling and she refused to tell me saying it was confidential and she couldnt say..Extremely rude person!...As ive been the victim of fraud im hardly likely to confirm anything to some random extremely rude woman!

Rang me and asked for a certain name I asked who it was and they told me it was a confidential call and therefore they wouldn’t speak to me. Bit silly to say they won’t reveal who it is unless you confirm you’re the name they’re asking for as I could just say yes and not be that person so there would still be a breach by their standards

I just got a call from this number 01782408799 and I answered but no one spoke but I could hear a conversation going on between two women so after a few moments of hello hello HELLO I hung up. Tried calling back and same problem won't allow incoming calls 😡

This number called about my son but would not tell me the company they are calling from, said it was confidential and I needed to confirm who I was before they could continue the call, I was not prepared to do that. Don't see how telling me the company they are calling from is going to effect confidential
