They said they were from 02 and my SIM was expired and my number was being disconnected. Kept calling me Sir. 02 know I'm female. I hung up and blocked and reported the number

This is a SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM. Foreign sounding person claiming to be Adam from o2 wanting to send me a new sim card due to current sim card wont be compatible when the 3G network goes down and I should receive one in the post tomorrow. He wanted details off my current sim that I did not give and said they would send me a code to give to them. The text message came through looking like it was from o2 with a code even saying not to give it out to anyone. I hung up the phone and contacted o2 directly who informed me that this is a scam and these scammers are presenting to be o2 and sending an access code so they can purchase items on your account. PLEASE BE AWARE AND DO NOT GIVE ANY CODES TO ANYONE. O2 have confirmed that they DO NOT call anyone that has not requested a call back.
