Scam call, pretending to be o2. Actually a follow up call from the Scammers in India, pretending to be o2. They send a security code to your phone via o2 then they ask you to tell them the security code there and then, for a 40% discount on your contract. The text does come from o2, but in the text it says if you did not request a security code, or you have someone asking you to tell them the code, it is a scam call.

No mesaage left, doesn't connect when returning the call. I'm in Nottinghamshire so to get a call from a small town in wales set off alarm bells quickly. Blocked now.

Purported to be from EE! Who actually are my mobile provider but, perchance, I'd been speaking to a genuine EE customer service person yesterday. Definite scam. Blocked! I live in North East Scotland but am currently on holiday, Isle of Bute.

Missed call received today - tried to call back but call wouldn't connect. This follows a call from somebody claiming to be from o2 and offering to discount bills yesterday - given the comments here I suspect they are connected.

'Brain' - spoke Hindi very well but little command of English! Claimed to be from 02; asked him 'where he was based' and he said 'Tooting High Street, London' - asked him to look out the window to tell me what he could see; he got any.... Poor Brian.... Managed to keep him on the line wasting a bit more of his time to prevent time to call someone else for a little while... When are Telco's going to accountable for providing VOIP UK numbers to these scam artists?
