An Indian-sounding guy said he was from Vodafone, but there was so much background noise, I was suspicious. He said had a great new cheaper deal and I would not need to give any personal details. But when I said "Hmm, but how do I know you are from Vodafone?" he rang off.

No answer scam!
Just received a call from a lady with an Indian accent saying she was from Vodafone. She said something about a 80% discount for something at which point I was I like but I don’t have any Vodafone services and she just hung up on me.
The number rang me and I did not pick it up due to the number not being in my phone and that I know no one in Manchester with the number.
A guy with a strong Indian accent called to inform me that he can save me up to 40% on my current O2 contract. I am not with O2.
Heavy Asian (?) accent too hard to understand. Think he said from O2
Guy with thick Indian accent pretending to be calling from 02 network about "issues many customers are facing" - I'm not an 02 customer and never had been so knew immediately it was scam. It is a Manchester area code - yet when I asked him the location he was calling from he gave me the 02 head office address "260 Bath Road, Slough, Berkshire, SL1 4DX" - I had some fun with the chump before he finally gave up.
Answered and a garbled computerised noise came through then the call ended, blocked.
Missed call. called back and an american pre recorded voice says it is 'HERC'
