Called following a petition I had signed? I don't ever give out my phone number as I always ask people to contact me me by email as I like to read things over carefully. When I asked how "Callum" had got my phone number the call ended.
I recently signed a Greenpeace petition but never agree to be contacted by phone so as far as i am concerned SPAM. I will never touch anything from Greenpeace again as they clearly misuse your data. Not the only person on here who does not think they gave permission.
No message but I understand it is Greenpeace. Don't recall agreeing to be contacted as I never do but must have done I guess. Anyway I don't answer cold calls so they are wasting their time...
Had a cold call on my mobile - not normally what I'd expect from Greenpeace. I signed their petition but didn't expect a cold-call from thirtyonefundraising.com The lady on the phone was nice enough but i find it intrusive and would normally prefer to donate directly rather than to a fundraising company that pays bonus's to staff who achieve their "targets".
multiple missed messages left on my iphone today (I live in Leeds). As I have a relative in Norwich I wanted to see if it was from her and doing so picked up the information. I think the Greenpeace connection must be spurious as this is not how they operate.
Represents their company as GREENPEACE saying they obtained my telephone number from a online survey then requesting a monthly donation which leads you to a link as to give them your personal and banking details. Please note that I had not fill in a Greenpeace survey together with my telephone number my number is registered with TPS so I reported them to TPS of which they are currently investigating.
It’s Greenpeace so you must have given them your number at some point either when signing a petition or donating to them. If you don’t want contact by phone all you have to do is let them know.
Call received 25 August 2022. A smooth-talking male caller said he was from a company that was fundraising for Greenpeace and because i had signed a petition, I was being called to ask if I'd agree to pay £10 a month.
GreenPeace ringing to ask me to make regular donations. Mate, charity starts at home at the moment, have you seen the cost of gas bills these days! Shame as I regularly share petitions for GreenPeace on social media but ringing and begging for regular donations means I won’t do this again. Not cool!
Received a call from someone claiming to be from greenpeace. I started to think it wasn't a scam until they asked for a monthly donation via direct debit. I asked them to send the information the email address I used for the petition (didn't state the email) and the phone call was quickly terminated. I still haven't received this email. Definitely a scam!
Has rang me 2 days in a row, I have discovered 'after reading the comments on this site' that it is Greenpeace phoning to try and get a monthly donation? Is it a scam 'who knows? I'm going to block the number either way.
looked at' who called me' reviews at this number. read reviews and saw it was not a good number. so, won't be anwering it
Fraudster pretending to be Greenpeace so searched and found that 'Greenpeace UK make cold phone calls? No. We only make calls to people who have already signed up to our work / one of our campaigns, or who have told an agency that they are happy to be called by us.'
The phone rang once, so I thought I'd see who rang me. Seems I missed a scam Lol !
