Pretending to be Santander in an email which looked very authentic appart from the email address
Email received 9 July 2026 similar to those already reported, purporting to be from Santander confirming new direct debit to dental firm, giving phone number for queries. How do they get away with this blatant fraud
This is searious Credit card fraud I have been nearly cought on.
Email received 9 July 2026 like those already reported, purporting to be from Santander confirming new direct debit to dental firm, giving phone number for queries. I marked email as spam and deleted, then checked phone number on this site.
Text from Santander confirming set up of direct debit for £1290.42 monthly to a dental company. I don't have an account with Santander.
Received the following at 19.01 - Scammers ! Santander A New Direct Debit Has Successfully Been Set up We’re writing to let you know that a new direct debit has been set up on your account. We need to confirm that the following details are correct: Monthly Instalment: £1290.42 Merchant: Prestige Dental Care First Payment date: 13th July 2026 Reference: SA-7LT9QF If the scheduled payment date falls on a weekend or public holiday, the payment will be processed on the next business day. Important Security Information If you did not initiate this activity and believe it may be unauthorised, we strongly advise that you contact our dedicated team immediately on 01434 239674 Kind regards, Santander
I received an email saying that an email had been set up on my account and it this was not correct to call them on 01434 239674 . The email was supposed to be from Santander for dental surgery. It had no santander branding or anything to show that they have my account details, etc
Changed tack now saying they are from Santander ….. SCAMMERS…..
Total scam pretending to be from nationwide,I do not bank with them
Had what looked like an official email from nationwide saying someone from a different device was trying to access my nationwide account and to ring this number looked at the email address total scam
said they were the nationwide and I had unusual activity on my account ,,, a complete scam/fraud . they wanted me to ring this number
