I am getting calls from this number everyday at various times. Sometimes it can be 5 or 6 times.
They rang but I didn't answer
Had this number and a few others with a Glasgow code calling recently. I just don't answer, they'll give up eventually. I figure if a call is genuine or important they'll leave a voicemail
Same as other posts, keep getting calls, no messages left, going to block now that I've seen these comments
Called today. Explained they were from T Mobile and that they had some great offers for me and my family. Said they could provide me with a tablet with some free data but I said that surely you can see that I already have a tablet contract with you so why should I need another. Think it is just a ruse to get you to purchase another phone and line. South African lady with an extremely dull whiny voice. I ended up hanging up.
I receive at least one silent call a day from this number
Answered the call, they guy said hello & hung up. Rang it back it told me it was the money hut, what is that?! Safe to say it's blocked now !
This number has called me three times I don't want to answer it who is it
Called me today in my downtime 8pm actually was very rude on the phone calling me by my first name I then hung up and they called back and said "you can cut of as many times as you want I will keep calling you" the woman was so rude!
Or possibly just ignore the call, and let it ring!
Just block the number, simples!
This number has attempted to call me many many times In the past two weeks, I don't enjoy talking on the phone to unknown numbers so I was reluctant to finally answer today as I was out and about so I figured why not. It was an Indian male who addressed me by my surname and asked me questions such as who in my house uses phones; their contract or payg plan. Then he asked if I was into any particular brand of phone such as Samsung or Apple etc, then proceeded to try to sell me an iPad air, I let this go on for a while and then he started asking questions such as my full name and current and previous address, he already seemed to know vaguely which house number I lived at so I threw him off with a fake address, if it was EE calling they would already have this information and wouldn't need to ask. I hope nobody falls for their scam. I would like to know how or who to report this to.
Had at least 2-3 calls PER DAY from this number over the past 4-5 days, never answered any of them as i've been at work but they havent left a message and I didnt recognise the area code so i googled it and found all these posts. If it was something honest they would leave a message so i'm always wary of persistant unknown callers, just have to block it now... Wondering where they got my phone number from in the first place! Very annoying.
Been calling me occasionally for months now. Says Glasgow on caller ID. When I answer it hangs up, if I ring it back it says it was a call from EE and they will call me again. Going to block it if possible!
Have been called several times today from this number. Called knew my name, said he was from EE and due to being good customer, I was to be offered some bonus. Male spoke in broken English from noisy office/ background and asked how many people lived with me and how many had pay as you go. When I replied he hung up. On checking number I note this appears to be a scam.
Several calls from this number, when answered loud busy office noise in back ground. Noise so loud call that it interfered with customers calls. Male attempted to engage me but in very broken English. Hung up......... Clearly no professional call centre would have such a poor call centre that was so noisy, and if genuine they don't deserve my custom! I also don't want or need any 'free or cheap' tablets etc. if I did I would phone them to enquire. Number called again this morning so just blocked it.
This number has been calling for a few days now asking to speak to my father as the phone is in his name. Today I gave the phone to him so that they could speak, the man on the other end was very persistent asking lots of questions and trying to sell things despite the fact that my father told him he wasn't interested many times. I grew impatient as I was witnessing this so I took the phone and told them firmly he was not interested and not to call this mobile again. Glad I did this, especially after googling this number and finding out that many people are having problems with them.
This number is very persistent, I have had 20 calls so far withing a day and a half. Sales people aren't normally so desperate if you miss their call on purpose. Very annoying.
Called me four times already today, comes up with caller id saying it's in Glasgow, I didn't bother answering probably some dodgy scam or something.
Missed a call from this number this morning. Grateful to those who have reported it already - will know not to pick up if this one calls me again.
Got a cal from this number at teatime. The far eastern sounding female voice called me by name and them hung up. The same number called me back a couple of minutes later and when i answered hung up
I called 150 straight after being called by 0141 249 0494 and they confirmed that the number is not from EE. IT IS A SPAM!
My turn today. They rang my house and mobile number and xalled me by my first name! Luckily i always come to this site and of course they were scammers.
Rang me three times and on the third time I answered. I said hello and then a male voice said it back, but there was a background noise as if someone was walking with high heels in a large space- as it echoed. And thinking it may be a scam i hung up immediately and googled the number.
This number does not belong to EE. I work for EE themselves and this isn't one of the numbers connected to us. Please do not give out any information. Call instore or 150 from your mobile.
had a call from this number via viber!!!!????? wouldnt EE place a 'normal' mobile call as opposed to calling via an app?????? blocked
They've called twice now, claiming to be from EE. He knew my name, and said he wanted to let me know some new "offers for me and my family". I didn't let it get any further...
0141 249 0494 Just had a phone call off this number but disconnected when I answered. Could hear that it sounded busy
Keep calling, but when I pick up, they disconnect.
They stole money from my account
Had a long call today same as above stating I paid over my usual amount for dec, said was ee. Offering cheap I pad contracts. Asked for my address as security question! After long chat put my onto his boss who went over what he'd said again. End of conversation was when she asked me for my card number! Must be a scam!
Dead call,,, phones and hangs uo
the number 01412490494 he called and gave a very rather confusing long name he said he had an alcatel tablet to offer. and he was calling from EE. i told him I wanted to also find out about my high bills and he said he could check that as well. he asked for my name and surmane and first line of address he said the 2 parts of my postcode correctly he said i was going over my limit by 17.58p ounds and that he could offer me 39 pounds for the tablet/ data and my current plan with tmobile. i then logged on to my bank account and tmobile account whilst on the phone to verify my payments and if what he was quoting was true. it turns out that I was not over the limit in any of my bills and I did not have any bill for the amiunt he quoted for december. i told him that i was not going to continue the call that i will speak to 150 as advised. well he asked me to call 150 if i had a problem with the high bills i was receiving.
They keep harassing me! They say they EE
definitely spam as also say they are talk talk
have now put in a complaint to consummer direct (trading standards) and citizens advice they are both now looking into this scam company`s phone no.
it's a sales call from EE who you most likely have an account with. Here's what you can do to stop it. Simply say....remove my number from your database and don't call me again.
