Said they were calling from our electricity provider and relayed our address etc to me to 'confirm' who they were. Advised that there was a problem with the supply number on our account and needed us to confirm the correct number to make sure we're not overcharged with other customers charges. I put the phone down and called our electricity provider who confirmed it wasn't them and that it's a scam from dodgy utility brokers who get your meter number and sign you up with new suppliers without your knowledge
