caller said he was from "Public Health England". I immediately googled the number and noticed lots of other people had commented. I played along. He asked me about my covid vaccinations and flu vaccinations, and then very quickly asked me about my health insurance. I told him he was a scammer, and asked if his mother was proud of him. He didn't like that very much and started to argue with me, so he was swiftly told to "go eff himself" before I hung up and blocked the number. Absolute scam callers.
Repeat calls from different numbers for over two years always asking or texting Brian Tweddle. No idea who he is but most of the text messages relate to loans or gambling sites. I have always spoken to someone with an Indian accent with lots of noise in the background of other calls and conversations. An autodialler is being used as there is always a long delay from answering to getting anyone answering. When challenged the call is always ended immediately. Scam line for sure
This number called me twice today - first time they said they were citizens advice and help with debt can be sought, second time they asked about vaccine status then went off on one swearing and being incredibly rude in nature to the point of offensive, sexual comments If they call you do not answer just block
A man with a strong Asian accent said he was from department of health doing a survey about vaccinations. Asked if I had flu and covid booster vaccinations. I told him yes. He then wanted me to confirm that I had life insurance. When I asked him why he said that he wasn't trying to sell anything. I told him that it was none of his business but he asked again to confirm. I told him that I wouldn't confirm or deny and he then cut off the call.
I haven’t picked up but this number has called me 3 times in the last few hours.
Called me three times so far today, have missed each one and no voicemail left. Looks like they’re gonna be blocked.
Have rung me at least four or five times so far today.
Does anyone know if this actually dept or public health? I have had loads of calls today, but reading the comments - I think i do actually have a toll charge ive been ignoring and worrying if it is that
3 missed calls in the last 2 hours. Looking forward to speaking to them
Guy called saying he is from Citizens Advice about settling my debts. I said I have no debts. He then mentioned life insurance, I hung up and blocked the number.
Call from East Grinstead checked with you guys I don’t answer unknown numbers but have advised them “to lose my fn number”
Called me twice today but missed the call.
Multiple calls from this number, now blocked. Reportedly from Public Health England (an organisation which no longer formally exisits under that name!) Scam calls regarding vaccination status.
Called twice today this morning, and once yesterday/ Missed the first two calls, but answered the third as appeared to be from "local area". Man answered with strong Pakistani accent, said he was from "the UK Public Health Department" and had "some questions." (Being that I could hear other people in the background, also with strong Pakistani accents, whilst feeling guilty about sounding racist, it set off my alarm bells that this was likely not legitimate.) I asked why he was calling and he just said "with some important questions for you." I said that I didn't "believe they were legitimate," and that they could "go ahead and remove my number from their database." Whether they will or not, no idea, but this sounded like a classic scammy call to me. Also, if you ring the number back, you get an incomprehensible message, due to severe static interference. Doesn't seem like the UK Public Health would have such a rubbish answerphone to me!
Caller immediately hung up when I answered
Had a call saying he was calling from public health England. Asked me if I had had my covid vaccines. Asked me if I had any fever or headache after these. Then moved on to ask me about my life cover and was pressing me to give the name of my provider. I said I don't know (I do) but at this point I felt this call was strange. He then went on to say I am having a debt problem. I hung up and blocked the number.
A man with a heavy Indian accent that I struggled to understand claimed to be from Nationwide Debt Solutions but couldn’t actually tell me anything about the fictitious unsecured debts I supposedly have! Told him he was a scam artist and to never call again, he shouted that he was no scammer but I ended the call. Do NOT answer!!!!
A guy called from this number saying he was from Public Health, asking for me to verify if I have been vaccinated again influenza and COVID-19. I said I was not giving this information as I work for the NHS and public health will have verification of all my vaccinations.
This company phoned me in Dartford and have asked about what flu vaccine I had and if there were any problem, he said he worked for public health england. He then asked me what life insurance I had and how much I pay per month for it. He asked me to confirm my postcode which I gave him a false one. Scam caller at its finest! Do not give ANY details away.
The guy who called said he's calling from the citizen advice bureau and that the gov is providing money to settle any depts. I said i have no dept whatsoever. He then asked if I have life insurance and then asked what company I'm with. I hung up only to be called back but ignored it. I wouldn't say this is legitimate.
