Pretending to be vodafone offering supposed 20% discount if I were to read back the code they sent (were able to spoof message as appearing to come from vodafone). Code sent is actually a legitimate code from them trying to access my vodafone account. Do not read the code back to them.
Getting so fed up I’ve had three calls today from various numbers including this one. Lady with what sounded to be an Indian accent said she was from EE network and asked how I was today. That ‘polite’ remark gets my back up straight away😡 I asked why they were calling my number and she hung up.
Asked if I read the daily paper , how old am I. Giving ranges to choose from. What make washing machine did I own have options. How many years did I have it. Asked to confirm my name they already knew it. And asked to confirm my number they already knew it. Anyone know what this is about. Last was Indian and spoke nicely
Used Google to screen this call before answering it. Was asked why they were calling and they just said goodbye and hung up.
Firstly the indian guy asked is this ( my name) I asked who is this ? he continued I am going to ask you one question then you will never hear from me again and i’m not trying to sell you anything EVER He then said Do you read a daily paper ? i said Do You? he said no I said don’t ring again I’m going to block this number
One call. All I heard was a few vague noises and then it cut off.
