Its currys number. But might be spoofed. In my case it was legit.

purchased from curry's today, called 3 hours later. didnt leave a voice mail

I ordered from Currys today and got this call in the evening, but didn't answer and they left no voice mail. I looked up the number on here and, from what people say, it appears to be a genuine Currys number, apparently from their 'Care Plan' team. However, I've already declined their care plan, so obviously they're going to try and hassle me into taking it. Number blocked.

Ordered home delivery from curry’s today call from this number did not answer, glad I didn’t having looked on here curry should have sorted by now been going on for ages will block

I just contacted Currys and this is a genuine number from their Care Plans team

Ordered from Curry's yesterday. Calls started within a few hours yesterday. Didn't answer and they didn't leave a voice mail.

Made an order with Curry's yesterday. After seeing all the other posts here I am glad I did not pick up. Will be blocking this number asap. It sounds like this has been going on for over two years, why the heck haven't Curry's done anything to sort this out yet?! Either their IT system is leaky or someone on the inside is sharing customer phone numbers.

Similar to above comments. I ordered from Currys on Saturday and have received 2 missed calls yesterday and 2 today. Each time they've phoned it says they're from Bristol, im in North Devon. Thankfully I don't answer numbers I don't know.

Scammer pretending to be from Currys wanting me to take out insurance for a device not yet delivered. As soon as I said no they put the phone down

Said he was from Currys but got my name wrong, and that he was offering additional warranty as I'd purchased premium product (I had in fact purchased bog standard fridge freezer, not an expensive one). As soon I challenged him, he put the phone down.

Due to being at work, I found a missed call from this number. I see it’s linked to Currys purchases. I made an order online on Monday afternoon and it’s now Tuesday morning.

Similar as above - have recently made a currys purchase and am now being spammed from this number.

I received two missed calls from this number yesterday and a further one today - I didn’t get a chance to answer due to being at work but looking at these posts I shan’t be answering at all! I placed an order with Curry’s on Monday and got the first call on Tuesday, so it’s likely to be the same incident of someone calling to pretend they are from Curry’s!

Keep getting them today and I too have recently ordered from curry’s so it’s clearly still going on

I never answered. They left no message. I am expecting a delivery from Currys. Seems like there is a connection after other people have had the same experience .

Placed a home delivery order with Currys last night, checked on here first to check the area code. Weirdly I’m in Bristol at the moment. Did not answer.

Missed a call from this number today. Did place an order with Curry's yesterday for home delivery. It does seem consistent with previous reports. If so come on Curry's get your IT guys on it before someone gets caught. I will advise local store on what's happening, please will others do the same, Don't let these fraudsters get away with it, we need to act.

Linked to curry’s I have recently purchased something from curry’s and since then have been bombarded by this number after checking it out seems it’s people trying to get your in for don’t answer block it

Scammers get hold of your number when you order from Currys. They then phone you to "confirm your personal details". If they were genuine they wouldn't need to ask for your credit card and bank account details. Currys must have terrible IT security.

Currys, asking for all personal info, including what I had ordered, all of my personal details, when I challenged them, they put the phone down?

The individual on the phone called about an order from PC World that I had not yet received, asking about my satisfaction and interest in insurance for the product. Attempted to get my address. Clearly attempting to steal personal details or confirm details already stolen.

Currys pc world. I was expecting a delivery, but it rang and hung up without speaking when answered

Asked to speak to me by my Christian name twice,when I asked who this was quite sternly they hung up

insurance scam
