This number has just phoned my landline - 28.4.16 at 6.40pm - unprofessional sounding young girl shouted down the line that loud that the sound was distorted - waffled about some new method to save homeowners money on heating - reps just happen to be in my area tomorrow - 'what time will you be in', when I said I wouldn't be because I'm not interested she kindly cut off the call - very professional!!!!

Random call saying we are from a government agency !!

A company calling themselves LEGAL RESPONSE - This company are the most persistent and annoying / rude cold calling company that I have ever had the miss fortune to come across. I am at the point where I receive several calls per week from them. The message is always the same, they are "affiliated with the Motor Insurance Bureau and they have received a report that I, or a member of my family, have been involved in a non fault accident. They take nuisance calling to a whole new dimension and the minimum wage parasites that work there just don't give up. They just don't understand the word NO, which is clear reflection of the intelligence being the mask of a phone. 0161 814 9046. There are no details of the company on-line or their address details. I would be absolutely delighted to know their operational address.

An Asian sounding man with asked if I'd been in an accident, I replied with a "No & I'm not interested" and he put the phone down. Oddly enough the same number was used back in 2011 saying they repaired PC's!!! I may be wrong in my assumption but if anyone getting these calls who has worked in a noisy or industrial environment like I once did has possibly had their personal data sold on, by who is anyone's guess. Just get a call blocker like we did.

Two calls today

I have been called from this number twice in the last two days. They sound as though they are having a party in the background, but no-one speaks to you. As OAP's we find this very stressful. Can't someone put a stop to it?

first time this number has called me - just went blank and hung up when i answered. These calls are getting rather too common

This number calls about three times per day and intrudes on my privacy. I,m sick of it as whoever calls hangs up immediately. I think it might be some kind of hearing clinic. After getting identified calls on a regular basis, I was rude to them.I assume this is their childish response. CAN THEY NOT BE PROSECUTED OR THElR ADDRESS IDENTIFIED SO those AFFECTED CAN PAY THEM A VISIT !!!

Caller from the national hearing clinic called at approx 7:30 then decided to tell me the time when I asked why he was calling near on 8 o'clock, had full details of address

This caller has rung 4 times today and on other days. The parasites keep asking if anyone has worked in a noisy environment. Despite being very rude to them they just persist in ringing. I am sure the number does not originate in Manchester.

These people called my 90 year old number three times today. Asking if she had worked in noisy environment and woman asked for number of anyone she knew who had hearing loss or tinnitus

This number 0161 8149046 keep calling and then hanging up when I answer the phone, is there any way to block them without having to pay a lot of money to BT or virgin for the service?

Just received yet another call from this company asking if anyone in our household has suffered hearing loss at work. These people ring constantly. I've asked to be removed from their mailing list as they're wasting their time and pointed out that we're with the Telephone Preference Service. Sometimes they say it's ok for them to call because they're 'not selling me anything'. Fed up of the time I waste answering nuisance and silent calls.

Bonkers class from numty call centres, need banning four making my life hell

They called twice, decided to give a load of waffle and said I'd worked in a factory then told JORDAN in a typing environment. JORDAN then asked if I had and ringing or buzzing in my ears so I replied only when they call, I think that went straight over the top of JORDANS head. Spun a little more and said that I hadn't claimed when JORDAN asked because they said I couldn't because it was only typing noise. He said I could claim because of the typing noise and there was lots of typewriters to which I replied there was only one typewriter, JORDAN said I couldn't claim if there was only one typewriter so I said I wanted to but JORDAN said no and I finished it with a long silence. JORDAN you let me down. TPS and ICO you should be ashamed for allowing these type of calls to pester us and invade our privacy, get rid of this scum and parasites.

These people was calling me at least 4 times a day and would not respect my request to stop. I got that fed up I purchased the BT call screening phones, where they have to announce who they are at the beginning of the call, if they don't introduce themselves they don't get through. If they do introduce who they are I have the option to answer, decline or block the call. Since then I haven't had one nuisance or marketing call. This phone is amazing.

Caller said he was from the Hearing Clinic and had anyone in the household worked in an industrial environment. When I asked where they had got my number from he said the British Data Company. Then I said I had not asked him to call, he was a cold caller and goodbye! I am signed up with the TPS too but that hasn't stopped them.

They have clearly called 4 times today - the last time, there was silence on the end of the phone. I have reported to Ofcom as I'm now doing with every sales call/nuisance call/silent call etc. I am absolutely sick of being hounded in my own home. The phone companies do not seem to be interested in doing anything about it apart from offering to charge us £2.50 a month to stop private caller/no ID given!!

This number rang asking for Mr. Bentley and rang off when I asked who was calling. I rang the number back and they answered as "The Hearing Clinic" then said could they ask if I had ever worked anywhere with a lot of noise.

Classic cold-calling scum. Like Andrew MacLeod we let all unknown calls go to answerphone (we have caller display). Our message has become quite famous round here and many folks have recorded their own versions ..... Hello there - Personal or family callers for ----- or ----- can leave a message. But if you're squatting on your sweaty haunches in a commission-driven call centre, you're a pointless, anti-social, parasitic, opportunistic, money-grubbing, cold-calling, universally-loathed scamming pariah. Go and do something worthwhile instead. We only answer numbers we recognise on our display. Personal callers CAN now leave a message. Thank you. Sometimes, for fun, I blow a piercing whistle or I put the 'phone between earphones into which I blast the loudest possible music if my hi-fi is actually in use when they call.

I have received several missed calls from this number. Today I answered and whoever called ended the call without saying a word. I have opted out but still get nuisance calls like this, it is really annoying.

0161 814 9046 called twice today at 16.39 and 19.12. First time answerphone caught it but I answered it second time. Caller - an Indian man - asked for Mr - or Mrs - told them that no-one of that name lives at my address. Caller rang off immediately.

This number called me again today. Scum trying to sell me a service to fight hearing loss through industrial 'injury' Aked him how he has my number as we are TPS and ex directory and he just laughed. Would like to meet these people in the street. Absolute nuisance

Had a call last week and put phone down, then had another this morning. Told the female that i was registered with TFP and if they called again I would make a complaint. 20 minutes later her colleague Steve with an Asian accent phoned and said they had not called before. He said he was calling from the Hearing clinic based in Derby and their number was 01132 340425 and had anyone in the family worked in a noisy environment since 1963. This time I said I had worked in a factory and he asked if I wanted to be put through to his senior manager. I agreed but the call was cut off. Dialled last caller number and it came up 0161 814 9046. I have just put a complaint in to TFP.

Same with me, got 3 calls yesterday and had a few from the same bozo's a few months ago! They can't get through my call blocker though - all it does is cost them a phone call then cuts them off!! Organisation calling themselves a Hearing Clinic, they are running a compensation racket...

0161-814-9046 tried to call me twice on Monday 2014.10.27 (12:54h & 17:32h) and once (so far) today, Tuesday 2014.10.28 (11:52h), ringing off each time when my answer-phone started (I let all day-time calls go to answer-phone and only pick up if it is not a nuisance-caller).

This caller rings on a daily basis, normally about 3 times a day. It is a silent call and very disturbing

Called numerous times, 0161 is a Manchester area code, whether they're based there is another matter , scum of the earth 😡
