0131 561 4532 Negative Who called me from this phone number?

there are 1000 call centres in Delhi - they use VOIP to make free calls from a borrowed number - they are working night shift for a few rupees with a bonus if they can scam someone stupid enough to give them any personal data that is sold on or used to carry out a scam. Same thing happening in Nigeria Thailand Canada- all thanks to the internet.

Allegedly calling from Edinburgh on a Saturday afternoon. Did not answer as I am abroad on holiday and don’t know anyone in Edinburgh. Certainly don’t want to waste time answering questions.

Cold call to my mobile at 5pm on Saturday while I was in a supermarket. It was difficult to understand what the caller was saying. I did hear "IPSOS" and "Virgin Money". I could tell him, in all honesty, that I was too busy ....

Phone rang twice,did'nt recognize number so did'nt answer.No message left. Looked on here seems to be Ipsos Mori.Cannot be bothered with surveys,so won't answer in future.

Just ignored this call and came here to see who it was - thing is, if it is really Ipsos Mori as claimed to various people above, why are they ignoring the fact that my number is on the telephone preference list? Seems shady to me.

Rang on Sunday (!), did not leave a message on the answering machine

Said they were conducting a survey. I said no cold callers and put the phone down. I am not comfortable doing surveys as I find that they are followed up by a lot of marketing calls.

Called on landline yesterday and today just after 5pm. I never acknowledge my land line phone. Those that don't leave a message, are not people that i need or wish to speak to !!

This number calling from Edinburgh has now been blocked, persistent callers, 5 or 6 times. Always inconvenient times.

Android 12 or 13: Call log; Tap the number in your history; Tap the "i" option; Tap the block option at the screen bottom; Job done. Iphones - no idea..!

I don't know anyone in Edinburgh, so I don't answer. Since I've read the contributors' remarks, I'll block it.

They called me twice on my mobile and one on landline. No message was left this was on a Sunday strangly. It showed up as Edinburgh.

Three missed calls from this number in last two days. No message left. Seems to be a mixture reports on here indicating that it was either a genuine call from IPSOS or scammers using a cloned number. Safer to ignore and block I think.

If you call me at 7.30pm from a number I don't recognise, you're wasting your time, simple as that. 😉

Legitimate company Ipsos MORI conducting survey’s. Still a nuisance, just block it or answer and ask to be removed from their data base.

These people call me late in the evening and during the day. An ongoing pest. Clearly some sort of attempt at fraud.

When called there is a recorded message claiming that the call was from Ipsos about market research. Their website give a contact number of 020 3059 5000

The caller had a very pronounced Indian subcontinent accent. I could not understand what he was saying. Something about an account. I had. I explained I could not understand him, and he cut off the call.

Caller asked me to participate in a survey about banks/building societies. I declined.

The number displayed was 0131 561 4532 however, the actual number they were calling from was not this according to my pc software. Seems like scam artists may be cloning this number.

Had a call yesterday from this number 0131 561 4532 at 18:58 and today at 20:16 both times I never answered.

Woman called me and asked to complete survey. Me being curious I went for it. I didn’t quite catch the name of the company. I had to answer a bunch of random questions and was given a scale of strongly agree or disagree to things about smoking tobacco. Spent a good long while answering about smoking and tobacco packaging. Went on to talking about drinking alcohol and gambling questions. I guess it really was a survey after all.

Man asking me to take part in customer satisfaction survey regarding banking. I declined. Ascertained from other research that this is NOT Ipsos Mori

Allegedly Ipsos Mori, contacted me to find out how people feel about UK and what could be improved, but all they asked of me had nothing to do with my opinion, just gathered data (which I falsely provided for fun), tried to tease them when will they ask me about my opinion and they said soon, but never did. When I started refusing answering their questions about myself they thanked me and hung up. Had a good laugh, but please don’t speak to them people. It’s just data collection free of charge

Possible Scam or fraudulent call. When called there is message claiming that the call was from Ipsos Mori in Edinburgh. The number is not listed as one of their contact telephone numbers. Beware.

When I asked him what he wanted, he told me he was doing a Mori> I said I was not interested in investigations, which put him off balance. He tried to tell me it was not an investigation. He did become upset when I asked if he was in Indian?

I never answer this number and they never leave a message on my answer machine, to me that equals either a scam or marketer

They are a SNITCH for TV licencing, Trying to get you to admit your favourite programs you watch, if your listed without a licence.

If it is Ipsos MORI, they may be calling in regard to the DHSC/ICL/NHS REACT COVID-19 Study

Today I received a call from 01315614532. THIS NUMBER IS GENUINE and easily checked. This is Ipsos MORI - They say: "The telephone numbers we leave when we call will usually be one of the following numbers: 0131 561 4532 0131 561 4632 0131 301 2940 020 8863 4433 020 3807 7496 020 3807 6214 0131 507 0013 0131 507 0018 07441 426 176 We currently have a small telephone centre in Belfast . . . . We use the following number, 02895 922166." Yes I know surveys are inconvenient, and some call at inconvenient / anti-social hours, but the poor person at the other end is only trying to do their thankless job!

Said he was from Mori and asked me to answer questions. Damn nuisance these spammers are!

Wow I’m constantly amazed as just how quick stupid people are to show off their stupidity. Missed this call twice so I called it back, voice at the other end said they were ‘IPSOS MORI’. I did a quick net check and sure enough they were IPSOS MORI. IPSOS MORI is a globally well established and accredited market research company carrying out random research survey calls. Used by governments and large companies around the world. The people on here shouting scam have no clue what they are on about, just like the children’s story ‘HENNY PENNY’ who ran around shouting the sky was falling. Simply not a clue.

Now know it was IPSOS MORI. Call received at 6.30pm,. man on other end saying he was out of breath as he had just run up to the toilet! Claimed to be doing survey for Dept. Works & Pensions. Asked if my "circumstances" had changed. Seemed very vague and reading from a script. A bit thrown when I told him that last time I lookerd i was still circumcised! At that point he terminated the call.

Female rang at 8.15 pm said they were doing a survey on how COVID has affected finances and would I like to answer a few questions. Obviously I said no and discontinued the call.

Female caller (early evening) claiming to be Ipsos Mori wanting to do survey on banks and insurance. Declined to be involved. Caller ceased call immediately.

Called at 20.56. Male who said 'hello" then total silence. Creepy.

Ipsos scammers from Edinburg!!!! Block them

Rung me twice on different days and I refused to answer. I then dialed 1471 and put the phone down when I got the number who called me. Surely, BT know what is going on on a massive scale and they should report the offenders to he Police. Its not the person receiving the call. Its BT's equipment and by not reporting it they are complicent.

It is Ipsos MORI, a market research company based in London. They are doing a survey about cyber security. They are legit.

This number has called me about 5 times over the last couple of days. After reading the other people's responses about it I am now blocking it.

Had a problem to understand what she was saying, seems I made a complaint about something, I have not so said goodnight and rang off. Very dodgy.

Ipsos Moron are now considered a scam artist company, do not engage, block their numbers and don't even talk to the jolly rotters.

Very short response from me following a suggestion that I might wish to participate in a survey. I do not expect calls such as this and have reported it to the Telephone Preference Service.

Individual named Jamie called me explaining that he was completing a survey (35 minutes) on behalf of the UK major banks and building societies in the UK to find out how COVID-19 had impacted banking. Stated my number was randomly generated. I did not give out any personal details and blocked the number.

Phoned asking for my kids personal details. I phoned them back but phone line went dead

Claimed to be the government doing a survey on my business finances during C-19. Told them I didn't have time and blocked the number.

Just got a call from this number 7.05pm asking about the government pension, put the phone down. Stupid time to call

Beyond annoying every day twice a day

My 8yr old daughter just got a call from this number and told her they where from CBBC (children's channel) and they would ring back in 30 minutes. These people are sick and now making children who answer the phone think TV people are calling them. Someone really needs to stop these idiots and either give them a massive fine or jail time.

They appear to be holding surveys for various goverment schemes, caller are at stupid times (close to 9pm most evenings, including weekends) Answer and ask them to remove your details.

It's Epos Mori, doing interview for the Government on Rural broadband. When I eventually gave him my postcode, he said they had enough people from our area and ended the call.
